Welcome to my online gallery

"I am from Spain, the country where my three favorite Spanish artist were also born - Goya, Dali and Picasso. I feel inspired by their work and creativity.

The events of life brought me to this northwest area of the United States. However my work portrays my roots and focuses on human interactions, physical and emotional, and the relationshop between mind, body and spirit of all mankind.

As a painter on canvas I use acrylic media, then let my intuition flow while listening to classical music. My fantasy landscapes fill with color and symbolic secrets that capture the essence of my feelings in the art I create.

I love to use oil bars on acid-free paper to create expressionistic figure studies. The media allows me the freedom to be creative. It is like dancing to the music playing in the background."

About my art

Synthesis is the balance of the mind's ability to integrate both hemispheres of the brain (left and right) so that opposite

poles of consciousness join together allowing for the emergence of creativity and imagination so important to artistic process. From my mind's eye to the canvas, I have created a new sereis of paintings. This sereis is called "Portalabella." Port = carry on; Ala = In the style of; and Bella = Beauty.

The subject in the painting is called "Rare Fruit", however it may be called several different things; because you can find many symbols in each painting - keeping in mind that I like to integrate several ideas, put them on canvas and then let creativity flow until I feel the painting is finished.

It allows peoples' imaginations to go wild and see in the art work what they want to see.

In the process of creating, my concentration goes into the subject, composition and balance...my creation of "Rare Fruit" emerges as the visible and tangible result of my creativity
